Recent use case for MARKABLES data in Polish insolvency proceedings

Meetlify Sp. z o.o. is the developer of an event networking software designed to help all participants of the event market save time and optimize the effects of business meetings. The company’s application helps to participate, automatically register visitors, monitor traffic at the event on an ongoing basis, analyze the behavior of participants, and comply with sanitary recommendations, enabling organizations to optimize business meetings. Meetlify was founded in 2019 and based in Krakow, Poland. In September 2024, Meetlify filed for bankruptcy.

The insolvency administrator commissioned – among others – an expert report to determine the value of the Meetlify trademark. The independent court expert determined the value using the relief-from-royalty method. Using data from the MARKABLES database, the appropriate royalty rate applicable for trademarks of eleven similar businesses was 2.8%.
