Recent use case for MARKABLES data in Brazil – internet solutions

Locaweb Serviços de Internet S.A. is a listed company in Brazil which engages in web hosting and internet services. Locaweb made a number of acquisition, which – according to Brazilian standards – require the submission of a detailed valuation including and approval by the shareholder meeting.

Organisys Software S/A (d/b/a „Bling“) was acquired on June 8th, 2021. Bling is an online management system for e-commerce and micro and small enterprises. Octadesk Ltda., a chat management platform to help companies in lead generation, sales and customer service, was acquired on Aug 2nd, 2021.

Valuations were provided by Apsis Consultoria which relied on comparable data retrieved from MARKABLES to value the trade names of the acquired businesses. For the valuation of both the Bling and the Octadesk trade name, Apsis determined an appropriate royalty rate of 4.2%.
